Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026 | Last Updated: October 1, 2026At DewClient, accessible via our official application and website, user privacy and security are fundamental principles. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information handled and explains how we safeguard player accounts.
1. Account Authentication & Security
DewClient integrates official authentication for Minecraft accounts:
- Zero Credential Storage: DewClient never prompts for, reads, transmits, or stores your account password.
- Direct Verification: Authentication takes place directly through official account authorization channels.
- Local Storage: Authentication tokens are stored exclusively on your local machine using standard OS-level local storage. They are never transmitted to external third-party servers.
2. Information We Collect and Process
DewClient operates on a zero-tracking principle:
- Game Preferences: Settings such as RAM allocation, graphical toggles, custom JVM flags, and active UI theme are saved locally in your user profile on your device.
- Cosmetics: When using DewClient custom cosmetics, the application queries our cosmetics synchronization service to display custom capes and accessories to other DewClient players. No personal identification data is linked to these cosmetic items.
- Crash Telemetry (Optional): If you opt in to submit error logs, standard anonymized crash stack traces may be collected to help diagnose software bugs.
3. Third-Party Services
When launching Minecraft, DewClient connects directly to official game servers to download vanilla assets and libraries.
4. GDPR and CCPA Rights
Because DewClient does not store user profiles, passwords, or personal identifying information on external databases, there is no centralized database containing your personal information. You can completely erase all local data simply by uninstalling the application.
